I lost my Mom. 
And suddenly I was planning a funeral for the woman who had given me life.

just know that my experience taught me that what you say, and how you say it, HAS TO matter in a funeral program. It can't just be a cookie-cutter template, padded with empty words. Your loved ones life was worth so much more than that. I found that through expressing just how much that life meant---through words and photos, it absolutely brought me closer to my healing.

When my mother passed away in March of 2026, I quickly learned how overwhelming loss can be. As an only child, I found myself navigating funeral arrangements while trying to process my grief.

One task became especially important to me during the planning stage: her funeral program. All I knew was that I wanted it to reflect the woman she truly was—not just the dates of her life, but the memories, personality, and legacy she left behind.

With the help of family and friends, I created a tribute that brought me peace during one of the hardest seasons of my life. The response was overwhelming. People didn't just see a program—they saw my mother. In that moment I determined that what you say, and how you say it has to matter in a funeral program.
